Take The Impact Far Beyond The Hallways of Your School.
The Susan Hirt Hagen Center for Community Outreach, Research, and Evaluation (CORE) at Penn State Erie, The Behrend College has partnered with RemedyLIVE, a 501(c) non-profit organization based in Fort Wayne, Indiana, to conduct an external evaluation of the Get Schooled Tour to become an evidence-based program. Susan Hirt Hagen CORE is a research and outreach center at Penn State Erie whose mission is to cultivate a holistic, intentional, and interdisciplinary approach to positive youth development. CORE conducts program evaluation and research to support youth- serving programs and initiatives.
Why is this important?
During the 2024-2025 school year, CORE and RemedyLIVE will survey students, before and after receiving the Get Schooled Tour. Survey questions will include students’ attitudes towards mental health as well as help-seeking behaviors. Students who receive the program will be compared to students not receiving the program. The collected data will be used to support RemedyLIVE in becoming an evidence-based program and will only be reported in aggregate.
