Let’s answer some questions about the Get Schooled Tour Jr.

What does an assembly include?

Highly engaging, age-appropriate education around how students can care for their brain and mental health, including entertainment portions sprinkled throughout the event to keep students engaged.

What educational topics does the assembly cover?

  • What mental health is and the importance of caring for our brains.
  • Simple ways to strengthen our mental health (exercise, sleep, eating healthy, boredom, good hobbies, gratitude, and service)
  • The importance of talking to a trusted adult.

What is the cost of the Get Schooled Tour® Jr.?

Costs vary.
**We may have grant dollars available to cover the cost.

How long is the presentation?

The Get Schooled Tour Jr. is 30 minutes long. If you have younger students and are concerned with their attention span, we can offer a 20-minute option.

Is polling available for the Get Schooled Tour® Jr.?

Polling is available for 4th and 5th-grade students upon request. If you are interested in this option, each student will need a Wi-Fi-enabled device (laptop, tablet, etc.).

What does the school need to provide?

Virtual GST Jr.
  • Each classroom joining a live-streaming event would need a projector and screen connected to a teacher device with access to Youtube.com.
  • If you are interested in an interactive polling portion for your students (4th and 5th grade), each student would need a wifi-enabled device (tablet, laptop, etc.).
In-Person GST Jr.
  • A gym or auditorium for the presentation that can hold all students participating at once.
  • Easy access to the room for the production equipment to load/unload.
  • Access to the proper electrical needs to support the GST Jr sound system and projector.
  • If you are interested in an interactive polling portion for your students (4th and 5th grade), each student would need a wifi-enabled device (tablet, laptop, etc.).

What happens after the presentation?

We encourage you to commission individual teachers to engage in a classroom discussion, asking, "What did you learn about your brain or mental health today?" This event is an excellent springboard into more regular conversations with your students about how healthy their brains are.
